In recognition of its distinct service to rural youths in the area of skills acquisition, CEDSI received a state Award as winners of the 2002 community development competition, funded by United States Agency for Development (USAID) Via the John Hopkins University Washington /NAWOJ. The organization would thus proceed to represent the state at the National /international levels.

CEDSI is highly committed to its activities as a Niger Delta representative. We hope to use this opportunity to express our greatest appreciation to all our partners who have been with us from the teething stage of the organization up to this point. We would continue to strive to improve the quality of life of our target constituents.

Though young, the staffs of CEDSI are passionate and committed about what they do. We are guided by the fact “ a journey of a thousand mile begins with one step “, we are striving towards professionalism; so as to develop expertise and legitimacy that would help us carry out effective programs for the goal of our target constancies Professionalism, innovation, quality services and dedication are our watchword, with the developing trust from our donors, partners target constituents etc. we know that the sky is our limit.
